Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge on a desktop computer (Windows, macOS or Linux) · About 3 MB of disk space for the unzipped folder, which must stay where you put it · Not for phones: mobile browsers do not run extensions

Chrome Web Store Chrome Web Store listing: submitted, awaiting review. Until it is published, install the same build from the download page ("Load unpacked"); the Store copy will carry over your leads and activation.

Before you install The Metrixan licensing service is live. Continue Free activates in both tools with a 6-digit email code and never expires: Uqab saves up to 10 new businesses a day, Uqab Mailer sends 3 emails a day from one mailbox. Paid plans activate with a license key once purchasing opens.

Installing (Load unpacked)

  1. Unzip the download into a folder you will keep, for example Documents, Uqab. The folder must contain manifest.json directly (not inside another folder).
  2. In Chrome open chrome://extensions (Edge: edge://extensions), switch on Developer mode in the top right, choose "Load unpacked" and pick that folder.
  3. Uqab appears in the toolbar (pin it from the puzzle-piece menu). Open a Google Maps or Bing Maps search to start collecting; your leads stay in your browser.

About the Developer mode message

  1. Chrome shows "Disable developer mode extensions" when it starts with an unpacked extension loaded. Choose Cancel (or close the bubble); it does not disable Uqab, and the message stops once the Chrome Web Store version is installed instead.
  2. Download only from this page, and compare the SHA-256 below before loading it if you want to be certain the folder is the one Metrixan built.

Checking the file

  1. In PowerShell: Get-FileHash "$env:USERPROFILE\Downloads\uqab-1.2.1-unpacked.zip" -Algorithm SHA256
  2. The Hash value must equal the SHA-256 shown on this page, letter for letter (case does not matter).

Updating

  1. The dashboard shows a notice when a newer version exists; nothing updates by itself.
  2. To update, download the newer zip, replace the contents of your Uqab folder with it, then press the reload arrow on the Uqab card at chrome://extensions. Your leads and settings are kept.
  3. If you later install Uqab from the Chrome Web Store, it carries the same identity, so the Store copy sees the same leads and your activation; remove the unpacked copy afterwards to avoid two toolbar icons.
