This policy explains what information this website handles, why, and what happens to it. It is written to be read, not just published.

What this site collects

Browsing this website does not require an account and does not involve a login. The site does not set marketing or advertising cookies and does not run third-party advertising or social-media trackers.

The contact form

If you send an enquiry, the details you enter - your name, email address, business or project name, optional country or time zone, your answers about the situation, and your message - are transmitted to Metrixan and used solely to respond to that enquiry.

  • Your details are not added to any marketing list.
  • Your details are not sold and are not used for marketing. They pass only through the providers that run this website and deliver its email (the hosting provider and the mail server that sends the enquiry), which act on Metrixan's instructions.
  • Correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to handle the enquiry and any engagement that follows from it.

You can also contact Metrixan directly by email at contactus@metrixan.com or by WhatsApp. Messages sent over WhatsApp are additionally subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.

The Operations Health Check

The Health Check runs entirely in your browser. Your answers and your result are not transmitted anywhere when you complete it. If you choose "Include this result with an enquiry", a short summary of the result is stored temporarily in your browser and attached to your enquiry only when you send the contact form. If you never send the form, the summary never leaves your device.

Analytics

This site is prepared for privacy-conscious, cookie-free analytics that count visits in aggregate without identifying visitors. No analytics that identify individuals are used, and no form content, Health Check answers, or personal details are ever sent to any analytics service.

Hosting and technical data

Like almost every website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, requested page, and time) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not used to profile visitors.

Uqab and Uqab Mailer (the software products)

Uqab (a Chrome extension) and Uqab Mailer (a Windows application) are built so that your working data stays on your computer. Two kinds of information must be kept apart: the leads you collect and the messages you write, which are stored on your computer and are not uploaded to Metrixan or to any provider acting for it; and the limited licensing and contact information described below, which is processed by named service providers acting for Metrixan. One thing is in your hands, not Metrixan's: when you send an email, Uqab Mailer necessarily transmits that message's content and its recipient's address to the mail provider you configured (your own mailbox), exactly as any email program does. This section describes exactly what each product sends anywhere, and what Metrixan keeps.

What stays on your computer

  • Uqab keeps every business listing it collects, your notes, tags, collections and job history in a database inside your Chrome profile, and writes exports and backups into a folder you choose. None of this is sent to Metrixan.
  • Uqab Mailer keeps leads, campaigns, message history, replies and settings in a database on your computer. Mailbox passwords are stored in Windows Credential Manager, never in the database, never in logs.
  • Diagnostic packages (for support) are created only when you choose to and contain versions, counts, settings and logs - never your leads, message bodies, passwords, licence tokens or tracking secrets.

The Metrixan licensing service

Both products contact one Metrixan service, the licensing service, to run plans. It receives and stores:

  • the email address you activate with (used to send a verification code for the Free plan, or to send and recover a licence key), and the plan it belongs to;
  • a random device identifier created by the app, a short device label (your computer's name), the product version and the operating-system version, so a plan can be limited to one computer and moved when you deactivate it;
  • daily usage counts for the Free allowance: for Uqab, the number of new businesses admitted that day; for Uqab Mailer, one reservation per send attempt, identified only by an opaque attempt number. No business names, no recipient addresses and no message content are ever sent;
  • a record of plan changes (activation, renewal, deactivation, suspension) for support and fraud prevention. Licence keys are stored hashed; only a short prefix is kept readable for support.

Uqab Mailer also asks the licensing service once a day whether a newer version exists. That request carries only the product version; nothing is installed automatically.

Services involved

  • The licensing service runs on Cloudflare (Workers and the D1 database). Verification codes and licence emails are sent through Resend from notify.metrixan.com.
  • Purchases are made at checkout with Lemon Squeezy, acting as the merchant of record: your payment details go to them, not to Metrixan. Metrixan receives the order, the plan and the email address to issue the licence.
  • Uqab reads the Google Maps and Bing Maps pages you open and, only when you switch email enrichment on, fetches business websites from your browser. Those sites' own terms and privacy policies apply to those visits.
  • Uqab Mailer sends email directly from your computer to your own mail provider over SMTP and reads replies over IMAP. From an IMAP mailbox it reads the Inbox for replies and bounces to the emails it sent; a message that is neither is kept only as its sender, subject and date (listed under Problems so a reply from a new address can be spotted), never its content. Sending an email transmits its content and the recipient's address to that provider, which delivers it; Metrixan is not part of that path. Your provider's terms apply.
  • Google user data. When you connect a Gmail or Google Workspace mailbox with Google sign-in, Uqab Mailer uses the two Gmail permissions you grant only to send the emails you write from that mailbox (Gmail keeps the copies in your Sent folder) and to read your Inbox for replies and bounces to those emails; unrelated messages are discarded after the check, and nothing in your mailbox is changed, labelled or deleted. This happens on your computer; your messages and the sign-in token are stored only on your computer (the token in Windows Credential Manager) and are never transmitted to Metrixan or to anyone else. Uqab Mailer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Uqab Mailer does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell it, does not use it to train models, and does not let humans read it except with your consent for support, for security, or where the law requires. You can remove access at any time with "Disconnect Google" in the app or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
  • Open and click tracking and the hosted unsubscribe page are optional features of Uqab Mailer that run on a tracking service you host yourself. That service stores, per event, only the kind of event, a random token, the link clicked and the time - no email addresses, no IP addresses.

Retention and deletion

Deactivating a plan removes the computer from it; asking for your account to be deleted removes your email address and plan records, subject to the records a payment provider must keep. Write to contactus@metrixan.com. The specific retention periods for licensing and audit records will be stated here before the products go on sale.

Your rights

You may ask what information Metrixan holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to contactus@metrixan.com and the request will be handled directly.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
